SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE

Sunny Day Real Estate is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1992. The band’s lineup has included founding members Jeremy Enigk (vocals, guitar), Dan Hoerner (guitar), and William Goldsmith (drums), along with Greg Suran (guitar), who played with the band between 2000 and 2001, and Chris Jordan (bass), who joined in 2022. Bassist Nate Mendel was a member during three of the band’s four incarnations. The band was among the early groups in the Midwest emo scene, despite not being from the Midwest. In 1994, they released their debut album, 'Diary,' on Sub Pop Records. After recording their second album, 'LP2,' the band disbanded. Mendel and Goldsmith joined Foo Fighters, while Enigk pursued a solo career. The band regrouped in 1997, releasing two studio albums and a live album before disbanding again in 2001. They reunited in 2009, with Mendel participating in this reunion.
