
Tegan and Sara have shared ‘Smoking Weed Alone’, the fifth single from their imminent new album, ‘Crybaby’

Tegan and Sara are a Canadian indie pop duo formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta. The band consists of identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin, who are both songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. They released their debut album in 1999 after producing a number of demos on cassette tape and were subsequently signed by Neil Young's Vapor Records. The duo has released ten studio albums, with their most recent being Crybaby in 2022. Their 2011 video album Get Along received a Grammy nomination. In 2014, they performed "Everything Is Awesome" featuring The Lonely Island for The Lego Movie soundtrack. In 2019, they published a memoir titled High School, which was adapted into a television series for Amazon Freevee in 2022. Both members are involved in the LGBTQ community.
