The Offspring is an American rock band formed in Garden Grove, California, in 1984. The band was initially called Manic Subsidal. Its current members include lead vocalist and guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn. The band is credited, alongside other California punk bands such as Green Day, NOFX, Bad Religion, Rancid, and Pennywise, with reviving mainstream interest in punk rock during the mid-1990s. Over its 41-year history, The Offspring has released eleven studio albums and sold more than 45 million records. The band's longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987. Adam "Atom" Willard was the drummer from 2003 until 2007, when Pete Parada took over; Parada left in 2021 after refusing COVID-19 vaccination and was replaced in 2023 by Brandon Pertzborn. Greg "K." Kriesel, one of the band's co-founders, served as bassist until his departure in 2018, after which Todd Morse, who had been touring guitarist since 2009, assumed the role.
