About Tiga

Tiga James Sontag, born on 18 September 1974, is a Canadian musician, DJ, record producer, and music programmer. He has released three albums: Sexor (2006), Ciao! (2009), and No Fantasy Required (2016). His album Sexor won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. In the early 2000s, Tiga released several compilation albums, including American Gigolo, DJ-Kicks: Tiga, and Mixed Emotions. His compilation mix, Tiga Non-Stop, was released in November 2012 and featured tracks from artists such as Kindness, Duke Dumont, and Blawan, as well as his latest single "Plush." Tiga has remixed songs for artists including The xx, LCD Soundsystem, The Kills, Cabaret Voltaire, Scissor Sisters, Peaches, Moby, Depeche Mode, Justice, Friendly Fires, and Mylo. He is part of the duo ZZT with Zombie Nation and has released music under the names The Dove, Rainer Werner Bassfinder (with Jesper Dahlbäck), and TGV (with Mateo Murphy). Tiga has co-produced music with Soulwax, James Murphy, Chilly Gonzales, Jesper Dahlbäck, and Matthew Dear, collaborating with Dear on the track "Plush." As a solo artist, he released the single "Sunglasses at Night" with Finnish producer Jori Hulkkonen, which reached number 25 on the UK Dance Chart.
