The new album's coming next month via Tough Love Records.

William Doyle, born on 29 January 1991, is an English musician from Bournemouth, England. He released his first solo album, Born in the USB, in 2009. Doyle was the leader of the indie pop group Doyle and the Fourfathers, whose only studio album, Man Made, was released in 2011. Under the stage name East India Youth, he released the album Total Strife Forever on 13 January 2014 through Stolen Recordings. The album was nominated for the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize Album of the Year and the Independent Album of the Year award at the 2014 AIM Independent Music Awards. The name East India Youth was inspired by the East India Docks area in East London, where Doyle lived during the writing of Total Strife Forever. The album was influenced by Tim Hecker, Brian Eno, and Harold Budd. Doyle explained that the "Youth" part of the name reflected his sense of creative rebirth during that period, as he felt the area marked the start of something new for him. The flat he shared was colloquially known as the "youth hostel" due to friends and friends of friends staying over regularly.
