
Ciara Princess Wilson (née Harris; born October 25, 1985) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. She was discovered by record producer Jazze Pha in the early 2000s. Her debut studio album, Goodies (2004), included the lead single of the same name featuring Petey Pablo, which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The album's follow-up singles, "1, 2 Step" (featuring Missy Elliott) and "Oh" (featuring Ludacris), both reached number two on the chart. Goodies was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and received two Grammy nominations at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. Ciara appeared as a guest on the 2005 singles "Lose Control" by Missy Elliott and "Like You" by Bow Wow, both of which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Her second studio album, Ciara: The Evolution (2006), topped the Billboard 200 and produced three platinum-certified singles: "Get Up" (featuring Chamillionaire), "Promise," and "Like a Boy." Her third studio album, Fantasy Ride (2009), featured the top 10 single "Love Sex Magic" (featuring Justin Timberlake), which was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
