d4vd, born David Anthony Burke on March 28, 2005, is an American singer-songwriter from New York City. He began creating music at his mother's suggestion to avoid copyright issues with his Fortnite gameplay montages on YouTube. In 2022, he released the singles 'Here with Me' and 'Romantic Homicide,' which gained popularity on TikTok and led to record deals with Darkroom and Interscope Records. Following several releases in 2023, he issued two extended plays, 'Petals to Thorns' and 'The Lost Petals,' with the former charting in five regions. In 2024, Burke released five singles, including 'Feel It,' which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. His debut studio album, 'Withered,' was released in 2025. In September 2025, Burke was involved in a legal case after the body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found inside a vehicle registered to him. The remaining tour dates and the deluxe edition of 'Withered' were canceled. The cause of Hernandez's death remains undetermined, and the case is under investigation as a potential homicide.
