McAlpine gained recognition through online platforms such as SoundCloud and YouTube, where she posted original songs and covers. In 2020, she released her debut studio album, Give Me a Minute. Her second album, Five Seconds Flat, was released in 2022 and included the TikTok-viral single 'Ceilings,' which contributed to her appearance on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 charts.
