Paris Whitney Hilton, born February 17, 1981, in New York City, is an American media personality, socialite, and businesswoman. She is a great-granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton. Hilton gained early attention in the late 1990s for her presence in New York City's social scene and began fashion modeling in 2000. In 2001, she was described as "New York's leading It Girl." Her participation in the reality television series The Simple Life, which aired from 2003 to 2007, alongside Nicole Richie, and the release of a leaked sex tape with Rick Salomon in 2003, later titled 1 Night in Paris in 2004, contributed to her international recognition. Hilton's media activities include multiple reality series such as Paris Hilton's My New BFF, The World According to Paris, Hollywood Love Story, Cooking with Paris, and Paris in Love. She has appeared in documentaries including Paris, Not France, The American Meme, and This Is Paris.
