Supergrass is an English rock band formed in 1993. The original lineup consisted of brothers Gaz Coombes (lead vocals, guitar) and Rob Coombes (keyboards), along with Mick Quinn (bass, backing vocals) and Danny Goffey (drums, backing vocals). Rob Coombes officially joined the band in 2002. The band signed to Parlophone Records in 1994 and released their debut album, I Should Coco, in 1995, which became the label's best-selling debut since the Beatles' Please Please Me. Their fourth single from the album, "Alright," achieved international success. Supergrass released six studio albums: In It for the Money (1997), Supergrass (1999), Life on Other Planets (2002), Road to Rouen (2005), Diamond Hoo Haa (2008), and a compilation, Supergrass Is 10 (2004). In 2009, they signed with Cooking Vinyl and began working on their seventh album, Release the Drones, which remains unreleased and unfinished. The band announced their split in April 2010, citing musical and creative differences, and disbanded after four farewell shows, with the final performance held at La Cigale in Paris on 11 June 2010.
