1000 Rabbits have dropped ‘Rubik’s Cube’, their “James Bond song” turned inside out
Their second single arrives via Young ahead of a packed summer touring schedule.

London five-piece 1000 Rabbits have put out 'Rubik's Cube', their second single through Young, the label home to Sampha, The xx, and FKA twigs.
Originally conceived as what the band jokingly referred to as "The James Bond Song", the track was rebuilt from scratch around a riff from vocalist River, with guitarist Paolo contributing a part that drives the chorus. Arriving in a single afternoon's writing session, the band say the process was something that "seemed to flow out of us".
Discussing how it sits alongside debut single 'Virgin Soil', the group said: "It has a similar danciness, but energetically it feels like an inversion, with darker verses and bright releases in the chorus."
The band added: "Thank you for dancing to Virgin Soil. We hope you dance to this too."
Previously known as Rabbitfoot, 1000 Rabbits are made up of Laura on violin, Liv on synthesiser, Paolo on guitar, River on vocals, and Luke on drums. Four members originally connected through a music programme in Aldeburgh, Suffolk as teenagers, bringing Paolo into the fold after relocating to London.
Regular performers at The Windmill in Brixton, they recently sold out a headline appearance at Third Man Records.
