The 1975 are said to have invested heavily in a custom-designed set for their sole 2025 performance, headlining Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage tomorrow (27th June).

The 1975 have reportedly invested heavily in their upcoming Glastonbury headline performance, spending four times their performance fee on production costs.

The Manchester band are set to top the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm tomorrow (27th June), marking their only live appearance of 2025. They share headline billing with Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo.

The Telegraph reports that the group have commissioned a specially designed set for their debut Glastonbury headline performance, with production costs reportedly reaching four times their undisclosed appearance fee. The band's most recent Glastonbury appearance was in 2016.

The 1975's live productions have grown increasingly elaborate in recent years, with their previous global tour featuring a two-tiered house construction, while their A Brief Inquiry tour pre-pandemic had gigantic, elaborate moving screens.

Jamie Oborne, the band's manager, explains: "It's such a big gig, and it's the only show that we're playing this year. [Matty Healy] thought doing it in isolation would be a really powerful thing."

Oborne has also confirmed that The 1975 are currently working on new material, stating: "They're making a record at the moment. I don't know when it will come out, but they're making one."

The band have recently refreshed their visual identity, updating their logo and social media presence, while also requesting fan submissions for a collaborative video to be shown during their Glastonbury performance.
