Dry Cleaning, Tkay Maidza, Big Thief and more have all contributed to a new 4AD 40th anniversary compilation

‘Bills & Aches & Blues’ sees current 4AD acts covering songs from across their back catalogue.

Aldous Harding, Tkay Maidza, U.S. Girls and more have contributed to a brand new compilation to celebrate label 4AD’s 40th anniversary.

Though the label actually turned 40 back in 2020, we’ll gloss over that for ‘Bills & Aches & Blues’ – a release that sees current 4AD acts covering songs from across their back catalogue.

Side one of the compilation – featuring Tkay Maidza doing Pixies ‘Where Is My Mind’, U.S. Girls performing The Birthday Party’s ‘Junkyard’ and Aldous Harding covering Deerhunter’s ‘Revival’ – is out today (10th March).
