Bastille have unleashed part four of Dan Smith’s ‘& (Ampersand)’ project, featuring new single ‘Bored & Overboard (Pandora’s Box)’

Bastille are set to complete Dan Smith’s ‘& (Ampersand)’ project with Part Four, arriving alongside new single ‘Bored & Overboard (Pandora’s Box)’. The latest instalment closes the series of narrative-led releases exploring figures from history, myth, religion, and art through intimate, cinematic songwriting.

Described as a storytelling project from Bastille’s Dan Smith, ‘& (Ampersand)’ traces poets and artists, anthropologists and scientists, outsiders and trailblazers, weaving their perspectives into hushed soundworlds that sit within Bastille’s melodic footprint.

Part Four continues that approach, drawing lines between modern folklore and retellings from biblical and mythic sources, and pairing new material with live recordings captured for Arte’s Turner Gallery sessions.
