Bdrmm have shared new electronic-leaning single 'Infinity Peaking' ahead of their third album
Hull band Bdrmm release electronic-influenced single 'Infinity Peaking' as they preview their upcoming third album 'Microtonic'.
Bdrmm have shared new single 'Infinity Peaking', the latest preview of their upcoming third album 'Microtonic', set for release via Rock Action on 28th February.
The track showcases the Hull four-piece's evolution, with the shift in direction was partly inspired by supporting Daniel Avery and attending Field Day festival.
"'Infinity Peaking' perfectly encapsulates the band we were and the band we are now, that careful balance of shoegaze and electronica," explains guitarist and vocalist Ryan Smith. "It was written when I was in Malaga, and is the first track I wrote that wasn't in some dingy bedroom. I feel like it captures the location that is reminiscent on The Durutti Column's Hotel of the Lake, 1990. It's a track that is full of true joy (despite the lyrics) and it was a pleasure to work on in the studio. It's one that we felt we could really get into the experimentation on, especially in the long spanning mid-section. We're always happiest when we're sat on the floor of the studio surrounding the latest pedal we bought, each dying to have a pass on it."
The new album, featuring ten tracks, was recorded with collaborator Alex Greaves and includes guest appearances from Sydney Minsky Sargeant of Working Men's Club and Olivesque of Nightbus. 'Microtonic' follows their 2023 album 'I Don't Know'.
