Ecca Vandal has announced a UK and European headline tour alongside the release of new single ‘VERTICAL WORLDS’.
The track is taken from the artist’s forthcoming album ‘LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW’, which arrives this Friday via Loma Vista Recordings. It follows previous singles ‘SORRY! CRASH!’, ‘MOLLY’, ‘CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE’, ‘BLEED BUT NEVER DIE’ and ‘THEN THERE’S ONE’.
Speaking about the album, Ecca Vandal said: “The songs sit in this space of shedding old skin and questioning systems and expectations, which is something I’ve felt up against a lot of the time. It was really about turning inherited ideas upside down and trying to figure things out on your own terms. There’s a lot of frustration in it, but also a sense of freedom.”
As with many of her previous visuals, Vandal directed, produced and edited the ‘VERTICAL WORLDS’ video herself. The clip was assembled within three days while she was on tour with Deftones, with fans who had previously uploaded drum covers online invited to appear in the video.
The newly announced headline dates include shows at Manchester Academy 3 and London’s Village Underground, alongside stops in Milan, Amsterdam, Paris and Cologne. The run follows a summer of festival appearances and support slots with Deftones and Limp Bizkit, including appearances at Rock im Park, Roskilde, Lollapalooza and All Points East.
