Beth Orton is returning with a new self-produced album called
'The Ground Above', arriving on 26th June through Partisan Records.
To mark the announcement, she has unveiled a fresh single titled
'Waiting' and laid out an extensive run of headline shows spanning the US and UK throughout September and October 2026.
Drawing on subtle influences from Laura Nyro, Carole King and Orton's early collaborator Terry Callier, 'Waiting' is "a celebration of moving out of the holding pattern fear keeps us in," she explains.
The full tracklist comprises 'The Ground Above', 'Before I Knew', 'Cigarette Curls', 'Waiting', 'Celestial Light', 'I'll Miss You', 'Love You Right' and 'Otherside'.
Orton's live itinerary kicks off in Washington DC on 15th September before winding through North America. She then crosses to the UK, opening with a Brighton date on 12th October and wrapping up at London's Alexandra Palace Theatre on 22nd October.
