Bonnie Kemplay has shared ‘Dandelions’, exploring the loss of childhood magic
Her second single since returning from a three-year hiatus arrives via Dirty Hit.

Bonnie Kemplay has put out a new track called 'Dandelions' through Dirty Hit, her second offering since returning from a three-year break from releasing music. The single follows 'Big Machine', which marked her comeback earlier this year.
The track explores childhood nostalgia and the disorienting process of growing up. Kemplay says: "Dandelions is an escape into happy childhood memories, when life felt lighter. It captures the feeling of being lost in adulthood and the quiet acceptance that some of that magic has faded."
The time spent away from music proved to be a significant turning point for the 24-year-old, she adds: "When I released my first EP, my artist identity was deeply intertwined with who I was. Since then, I've discovered who I am beyond music."
Kemplay originally broke through in 2022 after being selected from over 10,000 entries to perform in the Radio 1 Live Lounge as part of a talent search run with BBC Radio 1 and BBC Music Introducing. She has since taken on support slots for Adele and Bleachers.
