Bonnie Kemplay has continued to unveil her upcoming EP, ‘
running out of things to say, running out of things to do’, with the new single, ‘
Checkers’.
The new project was recently announced alongside the release of her last single, ‘
Static’, and is set to document three of the 20-year-old singer-songwriter’s most formative years in an intimate and relaxed sonic.
This most recent track draws on childhood memories of sibling bonding through the titular game.
Bonnie has elaborated: “‘
Checkers’ is about ending a relationship with someone and reflecting on my ‘happy place’ as a distraction or coping mechanism.”
