Carly Rae Jepsen has been confirmed as the co-writer for the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of ’10 Things I Hate About You’.

Producer Mike Bosner has announced that Jepsen will work alongside Ethan Gruska to create the score for the production. The musical’s creative team includes Lena Dunham and Jessica Huang, who are writing the book, while Christopher Wheeldon will serve as director and choreographer. Tom Kitt, a two-time Tony winner, is handling music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations.

Gruska, who previously collaborated with Justin Vernon on the single ‘So Unimportant’, earned a Grammy for his engineering work on Boygenius’ ‘The Record’. He also co-wrote several tracks for Jepsen’s album ‘The Loveliest Time’.

The musical adapts the popular teen romantic comedy for the stage, though specific details regarding its Broadway premiere have not yet been announced.
