Charli XCX has begun filming her upcoming A24 film ‘The Moment’ in London, with four new cast members joining the production.

Rish Shah, Isaac Cole Powell, Kate Berlant, and Jamie Demetriou have been added to the project, joining previously announced cast members Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, and Trew Mullen.

The film, based on Charli XCX’s original idea, will see the pop star both starring and co-producing through her production company Studio365. A. G. Cook is set to provide the score, while Scottish filmmaker Aidan Zamiri will make his feature-length directorial debut.

The project has been described as a mockumentary following a pop star’s journey leading up to their first headline arena tour, exploring the music industry’s inner workings and the impact of commercial success on subculture.

Charli XCX is also set to appear in ‘The Gallerist’ alongside Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Additionally, she has roles in Gregg Araki’s ‘I Want Your Sex’ and the graphic novel adaptation ‘100 Nights Of Hero’, starring Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe.
