CMAT has released her new single 'The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station'
CMAT releases indie-krauty track about overcoming hatred, taken from upcoming album 'EURO-COUNTRY' due out in August via AWAL Recordings.

CMAT has announced new single 'The Jamie Oliver Petrol Station', taken from her upcoming album 'EURO-COUNTRY'.
The track, which CMAT describes as an indie-krauty-campy-stomp, explores themes of hatred and personal growth. "The whole point of the song is actually my annoyance and intolerance and hatred of other people serves absolutely no purpose in my life and is a really bad instinct that I have," she explains. "So it's actually a love song for Jamie Oliver, if you think about it. It's me being like 'don't be a bitch and stop judging people for annoyances.
'EURO-COUNTRY', set for release on 29th August via AWAL Recordings, was recorded in New York and co-produced by Oli Deakin and CMAT. The album addresses themes including economics, identity, and grief. "EURO-COUNTRY is, I think, the best thing I have ever made. I felt halfway through recording it was the most important record I've made for myself… mainly because it was making me go crazy," CMAT says.
"I'm always going to make the work I want to make, because there is a little gremlin in my head that tells me if it's shit. More than success, there's a bigger gremlin that wants me to make music that's really good. She's brutal and has ruined my life at times, but she is the keeper of my life and she's always right."
