Dagny has unveiled ‘Dancefloor Erotica’, kicking off a more dance-driven new chapter
The Matias Tellez-produced single arrives ahead of Norwegian festival headline slots this summer.

Norwegian artist Dagny has unveiled 'Dancefloor Erotica', a new single that serves as the opening statement from her forthcoming project and follow-up to 2024 mini-album 'ELLE'.
The shift in creative direction stems from an unexpected moment of clarity when found herself disconnected from her existing material. Speaking about the experience, she said: "They felt like somebody else's melodies and somebody else's words. They're songs that I will always love - but I knew right then that I needed something new, something that gave a renewed sense of purpose, a sense of evolution - something I could move to in a new way."
Working alongside producer Matias Tellez, whose credits include CMAT, Girl in Red and Maisie Peters, and co-writer Nick Hahn (Zayn, Sigrid, Mimi Webb), the result steers firmly towards more dance-oriented territory. On what drives the track's ethos, Dagny added: "Forget about falling in love and heartbreaks; my new era is all about self expression, movement and desire. The dancefloor does not refer to a physical place - it's a mindset. It's freedom. It's a space where everyone can do their thing. This is the mantra: everyone's a dancer."
'Dancefloor Erotica' arrives ahead of a busy summer for Dagny, who takes headline slots at both Bergenfest and Øya Festival.
