Death Cab for Cutie have announced their 11th studio album, 'I Built You A Tower', set to be released on 5th June via ANTI- Records.
This marks a return to their independent roots after two decades with Atlantic Records. The album, produced by John Congleton, was recorded in just three weeks at Animal Rites in Los Angeles and in the band members' homes across Seattle, Bellingham, Los Angeles, and Portland.
The album's first single, 'Riptides', is now available. Benjamin Gibbard, the band's lead vocalist, explains: "Riptides is about the challenge of dealing with personal struggles as the world around us experiences tragedy and loss on an unfathomable scale.
