Dinosaur Pile-Up have dropped their “big dumb song” ‘Big Dogs’, taken from new album ‘I’ve Felt Better’

Rock band Dinosaur Pile-Up releases new single ‘Big Dogs’ featuring guest vocalists, ahead of their August album ‘I’ve Felt Better’.

Dinosaur Pile-Up have released new single ‘Big Dogs’, taken from their forthcoming album ‘I’ve Felt Better’, set to arrive via Mascot Records on 22nd August.

The track features guest vocals from Karen Dió, Larry Hibbitt of Hundred Reasons, and Jaws The Shark. Frontman Matt Bigland explains the inspiration behind the song: “Big Dogs is a big dumb song about the fact that when you’re rich and famous people give you everything for free – but when you’re hustling down at the bottom nobody gives your broke ass anything! And that doesn’t make any sense!! It should surely be the other way around!! I love this song because it feels like The Viagra Boys and Pantera fucked and then Slayer turned up for the solo. It’s cool!”

‘Big Dogs’ marks the third single from the album, following previously released tracks ‘My Way’ and ”Bout to Lose It’. The new record represents the band’s first new material since 2019’s ‘Celebrity Mansions’.

The album’s creation follows a challenging period for Bigland, who spent time in hospital dealing with serious illness. “This record is about triumph over adversity through perseverance and resilience,” he says. The twelve-track album was partly inspired by his relationship with Karen Dió, whom he married in April 2022.
