A new album from
Finn Wolfhard is on the way, with
'Fire From The Hip' due on 10th July. The record's first taster,
'I'll Let You Finish', has arrived as the lead single.
Serving as the follow-up to last year's debut '
Happy Birthday', the new full-length sees Wolfhard shifting away from the tape-like, lo-fi feel of his first record towards what he describes as a 'hi-fi' approach. The Rolling Stones records 'Exile on Main Street' and 'Beggars Banquet' are cited as touchstones for the more cinematic and collaborative direction.
Sessions took place in February 2026 at Pachyderm Studios, with Andrew Humphrey on engineering duties. The artwork was put together by Wolfhard with Grant Prettyman of Belhum, Hudson McNeese, Louis Nicely, and Cadien Lake James.
"I grew up in such an incredible time for pop culture, of course my music is influenced by these events I lived through," Wolfhard said of the songwriting.
Speaking about making the record, he added: "I'll never forget recording this album. It was such a special experience being surrounded by some of my closest friends, whose support meant a lot to me. They brought so many incredible ideas to the table and their creativity helped shape the record into what it is."
