The band confirmed the record on social media, sharing the artwork and caption: "Florence and the Machine, Everybody Scream, The new album, This Halloween,". The cover shows Florence Welch through a fisheye lens, seated against wooden walls and wearing a black and white outfit. Pre-orders are live via the band’s website, with multiple formats available.
The album comprises 12 tracks and will be available on cassette, CD, and vinyl. 'Chamber Versions' of the CD and vinyl add four bonus tracks and an alternate cover. A 'Bloodwood Edition' cassette features different artwork, with additional bundles also offered.
Hints of new music emerged last month when Welch posted a series of images. A whiteboard read: "You can have it all," followed by "Clarity, power, purpose, vocals, space, dynamics and beauty" and "Swans vs Adele". Another note referenced "Witchcraft, folk horror, mysticism, magic, poetry [and] insanity," alongside a photograph of Simon Critchley’s 2024 book, On Mysticism.
