Fontaines D.C. have delivered another taster of their forthcoming third album, ‘Skinty Fia’.

Titled ‘I Love You’, the track was given a live debut late last year and is the second to arrive from the forthcoming album, set to drop on 22nd April. It follows on from lead single ‘Jackie Down The Line’.

A winding, brilliant, bittersweet love song, it also containes lyrics with a deeper meaning, described by frontman Grian Chatten as “the first overtly political song we’ve written.”

“It’s standing in the centre of our beloved home country as a multitude of things are brought to tragic ends in an apocalyptic state of affairs,” he continues. “That’s how it feels to me, and what I felt when I wrote it.”

You can check out a Sam Taylor-directed video for ‘I Love You’ below.
