Fontaines D.C. share new single 'Here's The Thing' and announce Finsbury Park headline show
"It's an urgent song, searching for autonomy in emotional extremes," Grian Chatten explains.

Fontaines D.C. have unveiled 'Here's The Thing', the third single from their forthcoming fourth album 'ROMANCE', set for release on 23rd August via XL Recordings.
The track was written just days before the band entered the studio to record the album. Frontman Grian Chatten describes it as "an anxious tune that twists and turns in what it wants, back and forth between pain and numbness." He adds, "It's an urgent song, searching for autonomy in emotional extremes."

'ROMANCE' marks an evolution for the band, featuring elements of grunge, dystopian electronica, hip-hop percussion, and shoegaze. The 11-track album was produced by James Ford. Chatten comments on the record, saying, "We say things on this record we've wanted to say for a long time. I never feel like it's over, but it's nice to feel lighter."
Fontaines D.C. have also announced their largest headline show to date, scheduled for 5th July 2025 at Finsbury Park, London. The event will feature a curated lineup including Kneecap and Amyl and the Sniffers. Tickets go on general sale on 9th August 2024 via Ticketmaster.
