girl in red has revealed a collaboration with Aaron Dessner – ‘October Passed Me By’, made at Long Pond Studio, is due to arrive next Friday, October 14th.

The single has been teased via social media, with new artwork featuring autumn leaves and appearing to be something of a follow-up to her 2018 single, ‘Fell In Love In October’. girl in red shared the announcement with a cryptic message – “the story continues” – as well as a joyous photo of herself with Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio.

The studio was featured in a 2020 documentary, ‘Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions’, after Taylor Swift used it to record her eighth and ninth studio albums, ‘fokllore’ & ‘evermore’.

girl in red signed to Columbia Records earlier this year following the success of her debut LP, ‘if i could make it go quiet’ – Dork’s 5-star review (which you can read here) said that the Norweigan singer-songwriter’s first record is, “relatable, affirming and more than occasionally profoundly affecting.”
