Glass Animals have released a new single, '
Vampire Bat', the fifth instalment in their Fresh Fruit series.
The Fresh Fruit project offers the group a space to explore ideas and collaborators outside their core albums. Previous entries include '
Gold Lime', '
Lose Control' with Joey Bada$$, '
Tokyo Drifting' with Denzel Curry, and '
I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)' with Albert Hammond Jr. 'Vampire Bat' arrives with producer Rob Bisel (SZA) and leans into a rhythmic bounce reminiscent of '
Dreamland'. The track features intentionally cryptic lines: “All in my face, Don Quixote, hee-haw / Spank the monkey, more bananas than Diddy Kong / Shattered like a melon thrown from the Eiffel Tower”.
Elsewhere, the band’s 'Tour Of Earth' continues this month with additional North American dates. It began last August in support of their fourth album, '
I Love You So F*ing Much', which was released in April that year, and has included runs across the US, the UK and Europe with support from The Big Moon, Kevin Abstract and Blondshell.
