Goat Girl contemplate destructive behaviours with their new standalone single, 'gossip'

London four-piece Goat Girl have shared a new standalone single, 'gossip'.

The track is accompanied by a video directed and edited by singer/guitarist Lottie Pendlebury, and was produced by the band during the recording of their 'Below The Waste' album.

Recently expanded to a four-piece with the addition of Ruby Kyriakides (they/him) as a permanent member, Goat Girl explain: "We started recording gossip in Ireland with John 'Spud' Murphy making Below The Waste but it felt more like it's own thing than a part of the album. We took the stems from Dublin and reworked them in London with Ruby. We wanted to lean into its electronic potential and do something quite different sonically. Lyrically, it uses natural imagery as a metaphor for contemplating hearsay and destructive behaviours."
