Kae Tempest has announced their fifth studio album
'Self Titled', set for release on 4th July via Island Records.
The 12-track album, co-produced by Grammy-winning producer
Fraser T Smith, features collaborations with
Neil Tennant, Young Fathers, Connie Constance, and
Tawiah. The record marks Tempest's first full album collaboration with Smith, known for his work with Adele and Stormzy.
'Know Yourself', the latest single from the album, has been released today. Speaking about the track, Tempest says, "I love this song. It samples a lyric I wrote years ago, where my younger self is talking to their younger self. A dialogue between selves across time, in real time. Or maybe I could put that simpler – When I was young I sought help from my older self. I came into my head, I told me know yourself."
