A new series, ‘Louis Theroux Interviews’, will feature Stormzy, YUNGBLUD, and Rita Ora to provide behind-the-scenes and conversational content.
The show was revealed amongst a line-up of new factual arts and classical music content due to air “this autumn and winter.” The interview series will be available on BBC Two as well as BBC iPlayer.
A description of the show states: “Through exclusive access, the first episode sees Louis on tour with multiple Brit award winner, Stormzy. Louis brings viewers up close and personal to one of the UK’s biggest stars from the comfort of Stormzy’s living room, as well as the recording studio, during his biggest tour to date and at his local worship group.”
The additional guests were announced today, and the BBC explain that, ”Louis explores each star’s life and career in personal and intimate settings, and often in the company of family members.”
“Chart-topping singer-songwriter Rita Ora sits down with Louis at her father’s London pub and joins her as she perfoms live in Albania,” the BBC article continues. “Dominic Harrison, better known as musician YUNGBLUD, takes Louis to meet his in family in Doncaster and his fans whilst on tour in the LA.”
On his new interview series, journalist and documentarian Louis Theroux says: “I’m so excited to be embarking on this new series – something very different to the kind of TV I normally make. This will be a chance to meet and spend time with people I admire, getting to know them, having long form and revealing conversations, with honesty, emotion, and humour. To be kicking off with the genius that is Stormzy is proper pinch-me stuff. I can’t wait to get going.”
Dame Judi Dench, Bear Grylls and Katherine Ryan will also feature in the interview series. The exact air date and final series title are currently unconfirmed.
