Love Rarely have dropped ‘Severed’, diving into the emotional mess of cutting someone off
The Leeds five-piece's debut record 'Pain Travels' arrives via Big Scary Monsters this spring.

Love Rarely have dropped a new single and accompanying video for 'Severed'. The track is lifted from the Leeds band's debut album 'Pain Travels', which arrives on 10th April via Big Scary Monsters.
Discussing the themes behind the track, guitarist Dan Dewsnap says: "Severed is an exploration of the emotions you feel when having to cut out an alcoholic and hostile family member. Even though they brought so much pain, the relief is also tied in with a dash of guilt that you couldn't help them change. It ruminates on the positives that draw you in and the negatives that pushed you away."
The five-piece previously shared 'Will' as the album's lead single, and have not long wrapped up a UK support run alongside The Callous Daoboys. Next up, the band head to The Grace in London on 6th May for their debut headline show in the capital, with festival slots at 2000trees, Truck and Burn It Down to follow.
