Love Spells has announced his debut album, ‘LOVE IS THE LAW’, and shared new single ‘Keep It To Yourself’.
The record will arrive on 24th July via RCA, with the new track following April's ‘Crutch’ as the latest preview of the project.
“Keep It To Yourself” explores the idea of protecting what's important between two people, pairing Love Spells' falsetto with soft drums and guitar-led production. The track arrives alongside a video directed by Tanner Deutsch, which continues the visual story established by ‘Crutch’.
“This song is about realizing everybody doesn’t deserve access to what’s sacred between two people,” says Love Spells. “Sometimes love and its problems sound better in private. Some things you just gotta keep to yourself.”
The album was inspired in part by Sir Taegan Harris' experiences growing up in Houston, including nights spent at alternative club institution Numbers and a love of classic films such as ‘Dirty Dancing’ and ‘Footloose’.
Alongside the album announcement, Love Spells has also revealed details of a world tour that begins this summer and includes a London headline show at MOTH Club on 27th August, as well as appearances at All Points East, Pukkelpop, Rock en Seine and All Things Go.
