Loyle Carner has shared a self-directed music video for his new single ‘lyin’

Loyle Carner has released a new video for his track ‘lyin’, taken from his upcoming album ‘hopefully !’, set for release on 20th June via Island EMI.

The self-directed video, shot on location in Latvia, explores themes of childhood and growing up through a blend of surreal and poignant scenes. Produced by Spindle, it marks Carner’s second directorial effort following his one-shot video for ‘Yesterday’.

‘hopefully !’ represents a departure from Carner’s previous work, featuring him singing and producing, alongside forming what he describes as “the band of his dreams”. The album follows his 2022 release ‘hugo’, which reached the Top 3 in the UK charts.
