Lykke Li has unveiled ‘Sick of Love’, a new single about love’s lowest moments
Nine-track album 'The Afterparty' arrives next month.
Ahead of the arrival of her forthcoming record 'The Afterparty' on 8th May, Lykke Li has unveiled another new track. 'Sick of Love' serves as the latest preview from the album, following on from previously released single 'Lucky Again'.
Where its predecessor channelled euphoria, this latest offering explores what happens when the high wears off. Speaking about the track, Lykke Li said: "It's this moment of complete humiliation, and you're trying to be strong." She added: "I had a lot of fun writing these lyrics. I laughed a lot."
Recorded in Stockholm with a 17-piece string orchestra, 'The Afterparty' was executive produced and co-written by Lykke Li alongside Björn Yttling in Los Angeles. Running at just 24 minutes, the record features nine tracks: 'Not Gon Cry', 'Happy Now', 'Lucky Again', 'Famous Last Words', 'Future Fear', 'So Happy I Could Die', 'Sick Of Love', 'Knife In The Heart' and 'Euphoria'.
