Maggie Rogers has finished her third studio album after two and a half weeks in New York recording over the holiday break.

Rogers explained in a message to her fans that the album came “quickly over the span of five days” with two songs written each day.

I wasn’t expecting another one so soon, and because we both know I’ve taken my time and space in the past, I’m sure you weren’t either,” she revealed.

The album still needs to be mixed, mastered and given a release date, but she promises fans that the wait will be worth it in exchange for just a bit more patience.

“It sounds like a Sunday afternoon,” she explained. “Worn in jeans, hair undone, a long ride in your favourite car with the windows down”.

Reflecting on the songs themselves, Rogers says they feel like her “silliest, most unguarded self.”
