Man/Woman/Chainsaw have announced their debut album ‘Cannonball’, promising a record “full of bangers”
New single 'Nosedive' accompanies, plus UK and Ireland headline tour dates.
London six-piece Man/Woman/Chainsaw have confirmed that their debut album 'Cannonball' will arrive on 7th August through Fiction Records.
Alongside the album news, the band have unveiled 'Nosedive'. Emmie-Mae, one of three vocalists who take turns leading across the album's eleven tracks, says of the track: "It's is a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter. We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away."
Discussing the creative direction of the record, drummer Lola Cherry adds: "We were talking about having a whole record of bangers - having everything be really in your face."
'Cannonball' features eleven tracks in total: 'Only Girl', 'Canyons', 'Goddamn, Lizard Man!', 'Lighter', 'Nosedive', 'Get Up and Dance', 'Snakebite', 'Flick of the Wrist', 'The Thing', 'Still Angry' and 'Something Else to Give'.
