mary in the junkyard have released their new single ‘Drains’ while out on tour with Wet Leg

London trio release gritty new single ‘Drains’ while supporting Wet Leg on tour, ahead of US dates later this year.

mary in the junkyard have shared their first new music of 2025 with new single ‘Drains’, following their breakthrough 2024 debut EP ‘This Old House’.

The track sees the band exploring heavier territory, with vocalist and guitarist Clari Freeman-Taylor pushing their vocal range alongside bandmates Saya Barbaglia and David Addison.

Speaking about the track, Freeman-Taylor explains: “I am curious about the bowels of the city, we don’t see what’s below but there are many pipes and caves. and my friend once said ‘if you bury yourself i will dig you out again’ and i wanted to immortalise it because it made me feel so warm.”

The band are currently touring the UK supporting Wet Leg, with a US tour scheduled for September 2025.
