Matty Healy is supporting his own band, The 1975, in Dublin tonight.
Earlier this morning (7th June), the band posted on social media that their “dear friend Caroline Polachek is unfortunately not in good enough health to join us at our Dublin show today”.
Alongside the message, they posted an image for the show, indicating support will come from “Matty”.
Our dear friend Caroline Polachek is unfortunately not in good enough health to join us at our Dublin show today. We wish her all the love in the world and a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing you all this evening. pic.twitter.com/cJoGd2SLZb

Matty Healy has previously appeared as a solo act, playing some of the band’s songs acoustically – notably alongside Phoebe Bridgers in LA back in October 2021. At that set, he debuted some new material. With the band known to have done some work on a new album of late, and their ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ teasing in full flow, perhaps we’ll be treated to something fresh?
Whatever, all eyes will be on Dublin’s St. Anne’s Park tonight.
Update: Promoters have confirmed that Matty Healy will play “an acoustic support set”.
