Maya Hawke has released a new single,
'Bring Home My Man', lifted from the upcoming fourth record '
Maitreya Corso', which arrives on 1st May through Mom + Pop Music.
Describing the track as a kind of vow, Hawke said: "It's everything I think I could reasonably promise another person." Thematically, it centres on commitment while acknowledging that change is unavoidable, with an emphasis on honest communication.
The album sees Hawke construct an elaborate fictional world around its titular character, a persona described as a "magical misfit, whose sheer inability to adapt to the surrounding world allows her to create a world of her own."
Working alongside producers and co-writers Christian Lee Hutson and Benjamin Lazar Davis, with long-time collaborator Jonathan Low handling engineering and production duties, Hawke recorded much of the material at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY.
Alongside the single, Hawke has unveiled a dedicated website,
Maya Hawke Music, acting as a creative hub for the album cycle.
