Mitski and Trafalgar Releasing have shared the official trailer for new concert film ‘Mitski: The Land’, which will screen exclusively in cinemas worldwide for a limited time on 22nd October.
Arriving to mark two years since the release of ‘The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We’, the project captures Mitski’s recent live production, filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. Directed by Grant James and mixed by long-time collaborator Patrick Hyland, it is produced by Moniker Films and Good Harbor Music in association with Working Class Films and Dead Oceans.
The film documents the tour behind ‘The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We’, presenting the staging and performance developed for venues across the globe. It aims to translate the show’s theatrical design and musical dynamics to the big screen.
