Modern Woman have dropped ‘Johnny’s Dreamworld’, a new single about getting lost in your own head
The album opener arrives ahead of extensive UK touring.

London art-rock outfit Modern Woman have released 'Johnny's Dreamworld', the opening track from their debut album of the same name, which arrives on 1st May through One Little Independent Records.
The band - comprising primary songwriter Sophie Harris, violinist and composer David Denyer, bassist and saxophonist Juan Brint-Gutiérrez, and drummer Adam Blackhurst - recorded the album with producer Joel Burton, known for his work with Naima Bock, Katy J Pearson and Vanishing Twin. Earlier singles from the record include 'Dashboard Mary', 'Neptune Girl' and 'Daniel'.
Speaking about the single, Harris said: "I spend a lot of time in my head, and I like thinking of my mind and other people's minds like a location sometimes, a dreamworld - I like that reading and particularly music can take you into spaces in those places you haven't explored before."
Having signed to One Little Independent Records this year — a label whose roster includes Björk, Laura Misch and Penelope Trappes — the group have confirmed an extensive schedule of live appearances stretching through the rest of the year.
