Mogwai and Lankum have announced a joint outdoor performance at London’s Crystal Palace Park as part of the 2025 South Facing festival.
The show, scheduled for 7th August, marks Mogwai’s only UK summer appearance of the year and Lankum’s sole London performance of 2025. The announcement follows Mogwai’s recent release of their eleventh studio album ‘The Bad Fire’, which features singles ‘Fanzine Made Of Flesh’, ‘God Gets You Back’, and ‘Lion Rumpus’. The Glasgow band are set to complete their North American tour across April and May before the summer show.
Lankum join the bill following their Mercury Prize shortlist nomination for their album ‘False Lankum’, and their recent collaboration with Massive Attack for the ‘Act 1.5’ show in Bristol.
The two acts join an expanding lineup for South Facing 2025, which includes performances from Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Basement Jaxx, Skepta’s Big Smoke Festival, and Flackstock.
