Muse have revealed ‘The WOW! Signal’ with a space-bound stunt and new track ‘Be With You’

Muse have revealed details of 'The WOW! Signal', their tenth studio album, which will arrive on 26th June through Warner Records. Alongside the album news, the trio have shared opening track 'Be With You' as the record's lead single.

Taking a rather unconventional approach to the reveal, the band partnered with Sent Into Space to send a specially designed tablet 33km into the atmosphere, where the 'Be With You' video was premiered. A second package containing stickers for a limited-edition vinyl release was also launched skyward.

Directed by Nico Paolillo, the accompanying video for 'Be With You' stars Ella Balinska and follows strange phenomena unfolding beneath a red halo clinging to the moon.

Named after a mysterious 72-second radio burst picked up in 1977 from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, 'The WOW! Signal' is the follow-up to 2022's 'Will Of The People'. The original astronomical event saw the discovering astronomer circle the sequence "6EQUJ5" on a printout and scrawl "WOW!" beside it, lending the phenomenon its enduring name.

Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme have mapped out twelve tracks for the new record. The full tracklist reads: 'The Dark Forest', 'Nightshift', 'Superstar', 'Shimmering Scars', 'Cryogen', 'Be With You', 'Hexagons', 'The Sickness', 'In You & I', 'Unravelling', 'Hush' and 'Space Debris'.
