NewJeans file legal objection against ADOR's court-ordered activity ban

NewJeans/NJZ have filed a legal objection against ADOR's recently granted injunction that prevents the K-pop group from pursuing independent activities.

The objection was submitted to the Seoul Central District Court on 21st March, the same day the court ruled in favour of ADOR and granted the company an injunction against the group's independent activities.

The members' parents released a statement addressing the court's decision, saying: "We believe that the decision did not fully take into account the complete breakdown of trust the members have experienced toward ADOR."

The group stated they "did not have sufficient opportunity to fully present the factual background to the court" due to "the urgent nature of injunction proceedings", noting that only one hearing was held before the ruling.

They added: "Above all, until the point the exclusive contracts were terminated, we had diligently fulfilled out obligations without any wrongdoing. In contrast, ADOR and HYBE, behind the scenes, continued to treat us unfairly and unequally, ultimately destroying the relationship of trust. It is only a matter of time before the truth becomes clear."

The group performed at ComplexCon Hong Kong on 23rd March, where they debuted their new track 'Pitstop' and announced a hiatus in accordance with the court ruling.
