Oasis hint at US shows with a new billboard in America

The billboard, featuring the Gallagher brothers, hints at potential US shows following their recent Amazon Music collaboration.

Oasis have sparked speculation about potential US tour dates with a new electronic billboard appearing in America.

The billboard, shared on social media, displays a recent image of Liam and Noel Gallagher with the caption: "If we need to put up a billboard to get these guys to come to the States, here it is." The poster also features the Amazon Music logo, following the band's recent collaboration with the platform to release exclusive reunion merchandise.

While no US dates have been confirmed, there are reportedly plans for Oasis Live '25 concerts outside of Europe.

This development comes after a challenging weekend for UK and Ireland fans, who faced significant difficulties securing tickets for the band's highly-anticipated reunion shows next summer. All shows sold out on the day of release, with many fans encountering issues including website crashes, lengthy queues, and inflated prices due to Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing policy.

The ticket sales process has drawn criticism, with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) receiving 450 complaints about Ticketmaster adverts for the Oasis gigs. Fans allege the adverts made "misleading claims about availability and pricing", prompting an ASA investigation.

In response to the situation, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has called for a review of dynamic pricing and secondary ticket sites. Nandy stated: "After the incredible news of Oasis's return, it's depressing to see vastly inflated prices excluding ordinary fans from having a chance of enjoying their favourite band live."

She added: "This government is committed to putting fans back at the heart of music. So we will include issues around the transparency and use of dynamic pricing, including the technology around queuing systems which incentivise it, in our forthcoming consultation on consumer protections for ticket resales. Working with artists, industry, and fans we can create a fairer system that ends the scourge of touts, rip-off resales, and ensures tickets at fair prices."
