Olivia Rodrigo has landed her fourth Australian number one with 'Drop Dead'
A Coachella guest appearance helped propel the single to the top.

Olivia Rodrigo has claimed the top spot on the ARIA Singles Chart with 'Drop Dead', marking her fourth chart-topping single in Australia. The track arrives via Interscope/Universal as the lead single from her upcoming third studio album 'You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love'.
A surprise appearance during Addison Rae's Coachella set on 18th April helped propel the single, which also benefited from the release of two accompanying music videos. Rodrigo previously reached number one in Australia with 'Drivers Licence' and 'Good 4 U' in 2021, as well as 'Vampire' in 2023.
The new entry knocks Olivia Dean from the singles summit for the first time in months, though Dean's track 'Man I Need' remains at number two and her Sam Fender collaboration 'Reign Me In' slips to three. Justin Bieber also sees significant chart movement following his Coachella headline slots, with 'Daisies' jumping to number four and 'Beauty And a Beat' featuring Nicki Minaj returning at its peak of number five. His new track 'Speed Demon' enters at number 39, while 'Yukon' climbs to 18.
Over on the albums tally, Olivia Dean retains pole position as 'The Art of Loving' reaches a 13th non-consecutive week at the summit — the longest run for an English singer's album since Ed Sheeran's '÷ (divide)' spent 27 weeks there across 2017-18. Matt Corby achieves the week's highest new album entry at number three with his fourth record 'Tragic Magic', while Spacey Jane land at number 30 with 'Live At The Hordern Pavilion'. Further new entries come from Charley at number 23 with 'The Chronicles Of A Serial Idealist', Kesha Oayda at 31 with 'The Idol Collection', and Hermitude at 39 with their eighth album 'Eight'.
